YouTube and Pat Condell
Pat Condell lives in the UK and he offers his opinions on religion via his YouTube channel.
He has done so for about a year and I personally enjoy his opinions though religious people won’t like what he has to say or how he says it – so consider yourself warned.
His most recent video commentary, Welcome to Saudi Britain, was a complaint about the rise of Sharia Law in Great Britain. But it was a bit more than that – it urged watchers to sign a petition to the Prime Minister to stop Islamic Sharia Law from being used in the UK.
You can probably guess what happened next — it was banned by YouTube shortly after having been released based on “community feedback” from Muslim groups.
After some cajoling and further review, the Google folks decided to reinstate this latest video.
A recent (left Wednesday) UK houseguest complained that they have arrived at a complete “Alice in Wonderland” society where Minority-Rules, Being British is Unpatriotic (and punishable) and now British Law is being abandoned in segments of their society.
Twenty Years ago I dined one evening with the Right Honorable Enoch Powell MBE who commented that the process of de-evolution of the UK society was well under way - as he predicted in what is popularly called his “Rivers of Blood” speech ( http://tinyurl.com/rivers-of-blood ).
In that speech he spoke of how the system would be corrupted to favor immigrant minorities at the expense of the host society - His speech included the following words, referring to the Race Relations Bill then coming before parliament:
Here is the means of showing that the immigrant communities can organise to consolidate their members, to agitate and campaign against their fellow citizens, and to overawe and dominate the rest with the legal weapons which the ignorant and the ill-informed have provided. As I look ahead, I am filled with foreboding. Like the Roman, I seem to see ‘the River Tiber foaming with much blood.’
At the time I lived within walking distance of the scene of the gang and race riots that had only just simmered down - Moss Side had become a hot bed of immigrant discontent, with presently Somalian Immigrants settling there in mass.
As Enoch had predicted these areas had in the 20 years from his speech become “no go zones.” Cabs would simply not traverse the entire districts as if they were some sort of cultural hell hole from a “Mad Max” movie.
It is unfortunate when a minority opinion misuses the system to overplay any sense of democracy.
