I saw a note last week about a new version of VarAC the popular HF chat system. The new version, V8.0.6 is said to deliver an unmatched level of horsepower to enhance your VarAC experience. Two user modes are now available, a Simple mode featuring only the essential features and buttons, and an Advanced mode that includes all UI elements.
ARRL CEO David Minster, NA2AA, was interviewed on the W1DED in Maine YouTube channel. In the nearly hour-long chat with host Kevin Thomas, Minster shares quite a bit about things going on at ARRL. He talks about the culture within the organization, the impact social media has on amateur radio, and how he approaches listening to members.

According to Gallup: The percentages of Americans who believe in each of five religious entities – God, angels, heaven, hell and the devil – have edged downward by three to five percentage points since 2016. Still, majorities believe in each, ranging from a high of 74% believing in God to lows of 59% for hell and 58% for the devil. About two-thirds each believe in angels (69%) and heaven (67%). Hmmm….
