DX interruptus. Listening for 3Y0K in the rain was one thing. But when I heard thunder, I pulled the plug and disconnected the feed line. Rain is in the forecast daily for the next week so this could get dicey. Sounds like the team on Bouvet had a pretty good day as they got multiple stations up and running. Spots are rolling in on multiple bands and that’s welcome news.

Lots of chatter in the world of home-brew about a W1AW receiver design. I was ready to jump on that bandwagon then realized I have a hundred of those already, including my Elecraft K4, and I never listen to W1AW. Think I’ll copy a few voice and CW bulletins and maybe even try to copy the digital transmission a few times before pulling the trigger on yet another small radio project.
