News of irregularities with the recently concluded 2026 WRTC event continues to trickle over the transom. W1DED wrote The Integrity Question: Inside the WRTC 2026 Multiplier Investigation, and it’s good work compiling suspicious facts and figures, though no conclusion has yet been reached.

To be clear, the data doesn’t support the notion of cheating by any team. In fact, this only comes to light because the logs are all made publicly available and real contest gear-heads spend hours poring through those records like they contain a cure for cancer. They do this hoping to observe patterns that might assist them in future contests. It’s all very transparent and above board.

It should be interesting to see if these particular perturbations result in changes for future such competitions.
