Short-Side of Cycle 25

News from solar prognosticator Frank Donovan, W3LPL that recent data indicates Cycle 25 probably reached its peak sometime last summer and the Space Weather Prediction Center forecasts the solar flux index is likely to decline below 150 by early next year, significantly reducing the reliability and duration of 10 and 12 meter DX propagation, especially to Asia.
Another reason I’m pleased to have just received confirmation of DXCC on 12 meters. I now have DXCC on 20, 15, 12, and 10 meters since October of 2024 and while there is still plenty of Cycle 25 left to enjoy, I’m already beginning to conjure what sorts of lower-band antennas I can fit on my lot…
