Salmon Patties
Those strong storms that ripped through here a few nights ago did a lot of damage. There were plenty of downed limbs and strewn trash in our neighborhood, but then we took a drive a few miles west of here, where there was reports of a tornado on the ground, and saw a lot more damage. Snapped power poles, and a lot of roofing from barns and an industrial park were tossed all over the empty cornfields. Fortunately, there has been no reports of loss of life. Despite wind gusts of up to 80 mph that took down a neighbors privacy fence, my vertical antenna (R6000) was still standing after the storm had passed.
The rainfall could be epic. White River is nearing flood stage with another three inches expected to fall tonight and tomorrow. Last time the river was this high the Army Corps of Engineers began a 10-year project (1940) to construct the flood controls and levee systems as we see them today. That’s gonna be tested hard over the next few days.
I did notice a LOT fewer ‘Trump’ yard signs and flags. Whether these were blown away by the storm or purposely taken down to make it harder to identify the complicit culprits behind the six trillion dollar heist of the US economy is anyone’s guess…
